The Most Advanced Cancer Treatments

When you have cancer, you want the latest and most successful treatments. At Lehigh Valley Hospital and Health Network, we can treat certain cancers with radiation therapy produced by machines called linear accelerators. Ours are among the most powerful on the East Coast, allowing us to tailor our radiation therapy to your needs.

Why is the power of these machines important? The more powerful the beam of radiation, the more penetrating power it has and this allows doctors to drive radiation deep into the body, avoiding healthy organs along the way and minimizing "burns" from the treatment.

We also use advanced imaging technology to create a near 3-D image of a cancerous tumor. This allows us to pinpoint the exact location of the tumor and direct the radiation treatment accordingly.
